About Châtel

Châtel is a traditional French village at the quieter eastern end of the Portes du Soleil, offering a genuine alpine atmosphere without the crowds or price tags of better-known resorts. On its standalone pass it provides 90 km of well-groomed terrain ideal for beginners and intermediates, and a day upgrade to the full Portes du Soleil pass unlocks 600 km more. Especially popular with families and budget-conscious UK groups who want authentic French character.
