Who we are

WhereShouldISki (whereshouldiski.com) is a ski resort recommendation tool for UK travellers. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at whereshouldiski@gmail.com.

What data we collect

• Trip preferences — group size, ability levels, budget, departure airport, travel month, and priorities you enter into the recommendation form. This is stored so your results page has a shareable URL.
• Email address — only if you choose to enter one on the results page to save your trip link. This is optional.
• IP address — logged temporarily when you use the recommendation tool to prevent abuse. Deleted automatically after 24 hours.
• Anonymous usage data — page views and interactions collected by Vercel Analytics. No personal information is included.

How we use it

• To generate your ski resort recommendations
• To create a shareable trip link you can send to your group
• To send you your trip link if you request it by email
• To prevent misuse of our recommendation tool
• To understand how the site is being used so we can improve it

How long we keep it

• Trip data (preferences and results) is automatically deleted after 6 months
• IP address logs are deleted after 24 hours
• Email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them

Third parties

We use the following third-party services to operate the site:

• Supabase — stores trip data and email addresses (EU data centres)
• Vercel — hosts the site and provides anonymous analytics
• Anthropic (Claude) — generates the natural-language resort recommendations. Your trip preferences are sent to their API but no personal information is included.

The site contains links to third-party booking services such as Booking.com and Skyscanner to help you book your trip. We do not earn commission from these links. These sites have their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics uses a privacy-friendly approach that does not require cookies or store personal data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at whereshouldiski@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
